Finally....
After all the disappoiments, as you could read in the various chapters of my blog, I was taken to the Young Dogs Day organised by the Dutch Chow Chow Club (NCCC) on September 20 last.
Each year such an event is taken place and it is a great opportunity to meet all new comers and Chow Chows aged between 3 and 24 months. Of course it is also an excellent meeting place for Chow Lovers and ALL Chow Chows to meet-up and exchange 'about Chows'... It is not an official show, but the youngsters are reviewed (and not in that term judged). It is also good for the owners to learn a bit more about the 'World Of The Shows' and how that works. There were 27 young Chow Chows being reviewed and next to that a 10 Chow Chows just around to prospect the whole event....How many two-legged persons? Oh dear..not sure; but a 50 - 75 persons, I guess.
In the image gallery you can find an impression about this special event.

And what a surprise...there was also my mom; Tinka! Isn't that wonderful? Isn't she cute? Well, when home I will tell my father Shadow that his lover was there too.
In the image gallery there is a picture with my grandmom (Anouska), my mom (Tinka) and other family (Irene, Pandora and Kallisto). When we talk about 'promises for the future' it is always good to see breeders around during such events. They can also learn from what they have 'produced' and next to that give advises to owners and those being interested in having a Chow one day. With all the breeding rules, the standard, and aiming for a high quality a good platform is needed. It starts with 'open dialogues' and 'transparancy'. The Young Dogs Day is an excellent platform for that; in a delighted atmosphere were nothing is a must and nobody a winner.

Pasja and Mw. van der Zanden, Hans Vierstraete

No winner, but -not official at all - a Chow Of The Day!
I think that Pasja with his owner (B.E. van der Zanden) deserves that title. Look on the left! Pasja is so very obedient and all the time stays near by his owner. Impressive, and both got a real applaud from all. Pasja is about 15 months old. In the image gallery more from this 'couple for life' can be viewed. It proofs again that a Chow is very intelligent and also able to learn a lot.
Many pictures were shot given an impression on a very successful event on which the NCCC' Committee can be proud of!
Also the attendants and those coming for a cosy 'Chow Family Gathering' can look back to a very fine day.

Yes, it's me!
