Hanna's beauty face
Hanna knows she is pretty

August is over and in fact summertime, the holiday period, came to an end.  I hope you all had a great time and have been able to power up again. September is here now and hopefully some nice sunny Chow days are there to stay. I'm always longing for being outside in the garden and watching the birds and cats flying and walking by.
With respect to the weather summer was 'so so'. In July it was too hot and in August we had too much rain. There is never a balance. On the other hand I'm not complaining at all.
The family paid enough attention to us, Chow Chows. But what is enough?
It is never enough. Did you know that we are walked four times per day? Yes, the four of us!

Shadow and Hanna, Blue Tongue
Shadow and Hanna. Shadow is a true BlueTongueTalker and having a message for Peter

See me on the right with my father.  Don't you think it is a funny picture? My father is always a funny guy. Look, his tongue! A sign for Peter? What does it mean showing your tongue to someone? Is that valid for a Blue Tongue too? A BlueTongueTalker???? What to say? Ja, and keep in mind that Peter took that picture.
Let's talk about him. Of course not too much. I did already last year ("A Flavour To The World").
When he is home I'm always happy. So holidays are a great time for me. In spite that Helma is taking care for me (and all of us), on which I'm very thankful, it is Peter who stole my heart. It feels good when he is home and paying attention to me. The bad news is that he is so regular away and travelling. In July he was in Chicago for his 'flavour activities' and there are schedules for other meetings, now in Europe. In the image gallery you can find some pictures he took in Chicago.

A Cat upstairs
One of the seven cats at Irene and Arnold's place

Yes, photography is his hobby. He prefers shooting pictures from Chow Chows.
But see on the right… Oooooh, shocking! A cat on my BLOG! And look how she is looking down and being happy. Peter, how can you do that! You know how we hate these creatures. See more cats (Scottish Folds) in the image gallery.
Oh, now you probably understand why Shadow (my father) was showing his blue tongue to Peter.
Cats, cats….. we have nothing with cats. I think that most Chow Chows have nothing with cats. Maybe it is a different story when a puppy is growing up together with a Chow Chow.
Kiang is at our place the one who really can go mad when he sees a cat.

Xiong upset
Xiong is shocked about the cats

It was most shocking for Xiong when Peter and Helma spoke about those -so called-  gorgeous cats there with Irene and Arnold. Having four Chow Chows is something, Helma often says, but what about seven cats? Yes Helma, what about that? I always thought that a cat has seven lives? So one cat is more than enough, I guess…..

Hanna up for a Tom Cat
Hanna 'jumping' for the Tom Cat

Yes, clearly you have those who love cats and those who love dogs. But the best is 'love for Chow Chows'; The best of two worlds.
Chow Chows are known for their stilted walks. And cats? Well, maybe someone can explain me the word catwalk. Or shall we send Peter to the catwalk? He could make a nice report about how 'cats walk'.
See me on the right. Yes, I'm on the hunt. The cat from our neighbours made me angry. It is a real Tom Cat hanging around.
Each time when I'm outside that cat is 'tweeting' me in order to get my attention. And of course I react. That cat.....
But forget it!
I'm in charge, as you can see.....
And, I have a regular chat about him with my sister Xiong (see below).

See yah, next time!
It's me..
I'm Hanna!
(PS: NetChows is TWEETing on Twitter. I like to be there too)
