Hanna and her 'Poker' Face?

Well, the last couple of weeks were not easy. Last time I wrote about "It's In The Air" and all about the goodies of mother Nature. The tulips starting to flower and birds singing and preparing for family life..... :-) I spoke also about the smog and all that stuff coming from the exhaust pipes on 'nose level'. When I was preparing this new chapter of my blog I realized that dust and stones from Iceland were in the air too. But notice the difference! No airplanes in the sky, but stll many cars in the streets polluting and blowing smog into our noses.....
Okay, I don't want to make a point here, but anyway.... ;
"Please, car drivers have a little mercy for us and don't double push the gas pedal too deep.....!"
Look at me.....how cute I am..... Let's keep it that way.

It was hectic at our place. Many things had to be done in and around the house. For us Chow Chows that was not easy and sometimes we had the feeling we got insufficient attention. Next to that the weather wasn't always that good and next to some rain it was chilly too. So being often outside was a kind of a dream.
Look at me watching outside through the window into the garden....where I love to play......

What to say......
Next to the weather there was another reason I was most of the time inside the house.... Poor me.......
But first look to the picture! What do you see and who do you recognize? Do you see my father?

Okay...about .the other reason I was limited in my freedom.... :-)
Just have a look on the left and see me 'behind'...... That explains the other reason.
What to say? It was my second time being in heat. The picture above shows mi 'front', while watching outside and the picture left is my 'sexy butt'......
You know that my father (Shadow) is male. You know that my cousin Kiang is a male and further there is my half-sister Xiong.
Right from the first day being in heat Kiang was picking on me! The first couple of days were rather easy since I was quite bitchy to him. But in time it became more difficult......

During several nights Kiang was howling like a man-wolf and the lights in the house were regular switched on. Of course I noticed that our bosses went regular for a walk with him at crazy, early hours in the night... All in order to keep him a bit calm.... It didn't help much.

Men! ......heroes they call themselves.....In the hands (or paws) of a woman they are softies.

With my half-sister I had regular some quarrel.....  She behaved really bad to me and did not respect that I wanted to have all on some distance....
Normally we love to play together and have big fun. But the past couple of weeks there was a kind of jealousy among us.
Well......what to say. .."Peace and Quiet" there is again....

Shadow as supervisor at our place

My father is such a kind Chow Chow and he is behaving like a real father. He knows all about the girls, since otherwise there wouldn't be off-spring like me and Xiong.
During the time I was in heat he only once in a while checked 'my smell' and if everything was still okay with me. For the rest he didn't look at me and was just busy being a supervisor executive.
When walking outside, my father was always keeping an eye on me and that 'strangers' stayed on a certain distance. The same happened during my first time being in heat. Amazing, isn't it? Kiang so restless and with 'hormones' in a match......and Shadow, my father, being so disciplined.

He is a real leader of the pack and in charge.

Oh, my father....he is so cool..... he is so very special!

Now that I'm near 15 months old and grown up - in my eyes - I can take responsibilities too; like my father....

Things are back to normal again.... "Peace and Quiet!" No barking and a howling Kiang at night. Xiong is okay again and my father?
Yes, he is the best! I wanted to show him that I also can be in charge as deputy supervisor....
Last Sunday I was allowed to be in the garden again and my father was there too.
Birds in the garden.......and in a flash I was there to chase away them....
But...but.......there was my father and very rude he put me back on my paws again and warned me....:
"I'm in charge here and you? Peace and Quiet are here to stay!!"
