My Grandfather, my Father and Me...and my Mom, of course!

Pau Lin

This month my late half-sister Kaya will be the celebrity girl on the (NetChows) Chow Chow Calendar. See: Chow Chow Calendar. She passed away much too early. It is a true honour for a very fine Chow Chow. Talking about family makes it possible to have an easy step to my parentage. These days I'm more and more interested in my pedigree and wanting to know more about my father, grandfather and of course also to my mom.
Look at the left.........
There is my great grandfather: Anhwei Xiong Tai Pau Lin Hong. In the picture he is about 6 months old.
Pau Lin was born on June 13, 1992 and passed away on July 15, 2005. See His Tribute .

Hanna, 4.5 months old

Now look at me in the picture on the left. There I'm only 4.5 months old. Do I look a lot like my great grandfather?
Do I dream?
Oh, for the record: My weight is 15.2 kg now. Yes, yes....it is a big 'Whooow'!
I have a slight preference for "Big Boy" Kiang. He is so cute and so caretaking for me. In contradiction to Xiong, who is all the time teasing me and challenging me with stuffed toys or balls, That means running around the table. A thing which is not appreciated at all.
I'm proud on this 'standing' picture.
Well, can it be -when looking a bit more careful to both pictures- that I'm having a little more dignity? No?
You know, I love to get compliments.

Shadow, 10 months old

This time, as the title says, I wanna know if I somehow resemble with my father and/or grandfather.
My father - Anhwei Shadow Lan - is the son of Pau Lin. So it is all in the family. As you remember I'm the daughter of Vita-Texla Tinka and Shadow.
Look at the left! There he is! My father is there 9 months old. Shadow was born on December 15, 2000.
What a head! Look at his eyes! Whoooow, such a handsome fellow my father was. Okay, I have to be careful. He still is very handsome and many dog ladies adore him for his charm. For me he is really a father and the Alpha around the house. Even when I'm coming near him with my wagging tail, he is ignoring me. Is he teaching me something?
Anyway...... on the other hand he is a good guy and always around when there is a kind of panic or strange noises. Or when we are walking he is always near me to keep away (male) dogs sniffing at me. A true father.

Hanna, close-up

Yes, I'm proud on my father.
But now have a look again and see me on the left. See my cute face. Of course much less gruff than my father's face. As a girl, of course, I have a sweet appearance. Don't you think so?
But now the curious question...........:
"What about me and am I resembling with my father?"

Can you imagine that little girls like me have such questions? Isn't it normal for puppies growing-up  to find out?

When you look at me in both pictures do you think I can be a succesfull Show Chow? Unfortuantely I wasn't allowed to be shown during the Club match of the Dutch Chow Chow Club (NCCC) in April this year. I was too young with my three month' age.
But rules are rules and too young is too young. No cheating is allowed.
Opportunities to show the best of me will be in reach. I'm working on that hard.

But that wasn't the subject of to-day. It's about my grandfather, my father and me.... and.....
Fascinating! Isn't it?

Yes, it is me!
I'm Hanna.

And here below you see my mom: Vita-Texla Tinka. What do you think? Am I a blend from Grandfather, Father and Mom? I hope so......
