Well, finally we made it and spring is here to stay.
See Xiong and me looking outside to welcome the sun and patiently waiting till the door is opened so we can go outside
Hanna and Xiong looking outside if spring is there to stay
This last winter was my first experience what is about snow and freezing weather. Yes, it was exciting and together with my family I had lots of fun. A couple of weeks ago the weather started to change and it became rainy and chilly. That is not good for the coat and next hating wet, dirty paws. When coming inside there was always someone rubbing the coat dry and cleaning the paws.
So staying inside with my half-sister Xiong and looking out the window into the garden for better weather…. (See on the left). But is that funny? Okay, there were the rugs which we ‘rocked’. Do you remember that from the previous Blog-chapter?
Hanna and her father welcoming spring
Yes I agree it took too long for a new Blog. But, what to report when being most of the time in house only?
Now……..
“Hurrah, the sun is shining; birds sing and are constructing nests. Mother Nature is turning green! We can go outside!”
Look our faces and see how happy my father and I are. Be honest..... "What do you think of me?" Imagine, I'm now 14 months old and doing very fine. A beauty girl? No? Of course I love to get compliments. In this time of the year flirting is a normal thing. When the sun is shining the best place to be is outside. See all the birds and animals dressed to be loved and the vegetation becoming coloured. From the green grass to tulips and daffodils. It is busy outside..... and even humans are more friendly: "It is in the air!"
The exhaust pipe in front of smaller 'creatures'. Let's talk about health...
Do I have something to complaint?
"Yes, I have!"
I'm taking it up now for all dogs, and not only Chow Chows..
Relatively seen we are small and it means that we breathe rather near the ground. I guess between 20 and 50 centimeters from the ground. So when we walk in areas where are many cars and motorbikes we get 'air' directly from the exhaust pipes - the exhaust "smog" fumes into our noses!!!!! Our health is at risk!!!!! See on the left the situation....
When people stop smoking for their health why should we continue 'smoking' the smog?
"It Is In The Air!"
...Off with all that car smog....!
Now we are talking about one car only, but imagine when walking in the street and where it is crowded with many cars? Keep also in mind that dust and so on is fluttering down to the ground. And what about the 'rubber' which is released from the tyres. Very, very bad... "It Is In The Air!"
But not only am I talking about the exhaust fumes, I'm talking also about the small foot pathes bordered with grass and weed. Have you ever noticed that the grass across the pathes is suddenly turning yellow?
Oh, dear....the city applied so called 'biodegradable' herbicides. Freshly applied and you know....'dogs are nosey'.....
"It Is In The Air!"
Can you imagine that so many dogs get ill with 'no clear' reason? The environment......it is the pollution 'at low level'.
Food for Chow Chows. Dinner is ready. Also for Kiang!
"Food For Thought!".......Food for Chow Chows.
Yes, it is like a party when Helma is preparing and giving us our 'dinner'. We all are eager to get our portion. See cousin Kiang demonstrating with his paw 'It is all mine!" As you can see we mainly get kibbles and next to that a freshly prepared carbohydrate source like potato or rice and as protein source meat (very often horse meat).
In the image gallery a couple of pictures can be found about 'our' dinner and next to that - as a bonus - a video clip where you can see and hear 'how we eat'! Some say that I'm an impatient eater..... Judge yourself and see in particular Shadow 'dancing' ....
In the image gallery there are many more 'especially' captured moments. About us all.....Enjoy!
