Summer is now one month old. This is my very first summer in my life which is only a 6 month 'old'.
To what I understand is that many people take a short break during summer and have summer holidays. During that break people aim to do those things on which they usually have no time for. Time for the hobbies, travelling and 'out and about'. That ranks from cultural and social to the most wild adventures. Where do you go and what are your plans?
I was told that many pets have a tough time during summer time. Yeah, when people wanna travel we, as pets, can be a headache for them. The shelthers become overcrowded and many dogs and cats are simply 'dumped'. That was a different story in times when they saw us as little puppy or kitten..... They called that: A Love For Life!
See what happens.... Humans so often are sellfish.....
For a Chow Chow such a behaviour seems to be even more a problem. A Chow is a really Family Pet and addicted to serve and be there for the owner.
In summer lots of pets get into destress.
I'm happy that I found a family who are care taking and put us, Chow Chows, on the first place.
There is always someone around. So no worry for us during summer.
We are walked 4 times per day. I'm the one who plays the 'early morning call' and warns everybody to get awake. So between 6 and 6.30 A.M. you can find us walking outside with the rest of the family accompagnied by the early birds whizzling nice songs for us. What a good life we have.
When we go walking late in the afternoon and the sun shines there is that strange smell.......coming from sevela backyards in our neighbourhood.....
Oh....I found out! That are BBQ parties. And since during the BBQ there is fire for frying the meat and so on, pets are most of the time not allowed to attend. Besides the meat has been tenderized, often is burned and contains all kind of dreadful and hazardous spices and herbs. And...it stinks in the whole neighbourhood.
We are better off..... During summer and when the sun shines, we have very regular our special Garden Party For Chows. See in the video below how we (Shadow, Xiong, Kiang and me) enjoy our treats.
