Hanna is turning three years old now!
Yes, today I'm celebrating my birthday! Imagine, I turn three years old now. Also for Chow Chows time flies.
Look at me on the left. A big 'smiley heart' for me showing that I'm in the spotlight today and that we will have a Chow Party!
So it goes here. Of course my father Shadow gave me a big lick on my nose this morning. Meinte tried to steal my cute 'smiley heart' and Xiong teased me by pulling me on my hint leg.
And there were Helma and Peter. They hugged me into pieces. For sure I will receive lots of (e-) cards and little messages and even phone-calls and eagerly waiting for the better treats. I love it!
All four Chow Chows napping. Quattro4Chows...
Here everything is okay. On the right you see us napping. We love to be together in the living now it is winter and it is not always nice to be outside. Too much rain….
Christmas time was very fine and we got all attention. The whole family was together and we enjoyed being together and have the goodies. Good times! It was less funny during the turning of the year. Here in Holland about a 70 million EURO was spent to fireworks and next to an impact to the environment (pollution) animals do not feel comfortable at all. Even here at our place. Although we could stand it rather well there is definitely an impact on us too. None of us felt comfortable. The year 2011 is behind us and we are looking forward for a good Chow year. Also for you we hope you have a sound and healthy year and that all wishes may come true. But always keep in mind: "Nothing comes easy… You need to invest (in) yourself too!" See…, these are wise words from a lovely Chow Lady….. Hanna! And that is me.
Meinte is looking for the food. And Xiong wonders.....
During the Happy Holiday period it is all about family, friends, gathering and joining food together. Here in our family there is one who is always very impatient when it comes to food. I got the name being 'food addicted' and being 'impatient' . But the one really is, that is Meinte. When Helma is in the kitchen or not, Meinte always checks there for the presence of food. He jumps with his front legs on the worktop and knows exactly where to look. He quickly 'picks' and runs away with his prey to a quiet place. There he quickly swallows it. That is our Meinte. Mister Big Boy. Well, I love him. When we get awake Frank Willem is taking Xiong and Shadow for the early morning walk. Meinte and I have to wait for Peter and Helma. Helma prepares the food and Peter is shaving his face and next washing himself first. So, before we leave for our walk I love to play hide and seek with Meinte. That is not always appreciated since chairs often fall over……
Meinte is singing for Hanna!
Well, today is Hanna's Day and I sure will enjoy that and of course the other family members too. There will be slices of beef for me and other treats too. I really feel a Chow Princess today. To be honest, I feel a Chow Princess every day. Of course my (half-) sister, Xiong, is a Chow Princess too. Not only because we have a blue tongue, but we always get a royal treatment here at our place.
People often ask how it is possible that we all can cope so well with each other. Two Chow boys and two Chow girls going strong. Yes, so it is. We are very obedient and exceptions confirm that rule.
Now my little wish for today. When you have read my little update and viewed the pictures, please bark en start running in the living with an expression of "Hanna, happy birthday to you!"
And for the rest of the year keep in mind; "Every Day Is a Chow Day!"
It is me!
I'm Hanna.
(Think of me every day)
