Helma and Hanna :: Two Of A Kind!
Did you read my previous BLOG "Peace and Quiet" ? Yes, everything is back to normal. Xiong and I are the best friends again and no more annoying jealousy. Kiang is paying normal attention to me again and even is able to sleep all night as usual. Indeed "Peace and Quiet" are key words.
'Chow Chows rule the world'......is a true fact for many Chow Chow owners. No doubt about that.
On Sunday, April 25, 2010, Helma and Peter decided that I could join them to be present on the yearly Chow Chow event 'The ClubMatch' of the NCCC (Nederlandse Chow Chow Club) in Eemnes (NL). No, no, not IN the show, but watching the event from the side-line together with Helma. Peter had his duties, as exclusive photographer, for the NCCC and NetChows.
So, ME and Helma........
Hanna, and the black beauty Nynke (Res. CAC) :: The humans Helma, Cella and Joke
Look on the left. There you can see me, Helma and the ladies Cella and Joke. Under the table there is Nynke. She was very kind and allowed me to drink water from her bowl.
It was impressive to see all these Chow Chows and people who had to show. Some were very nervous, while others showed having no nerves at all. Simply see the Image Gallery with an impression. The ShowResults - including Peter's pictures - can be found on NetChows (NCCC Clubmatch :: Eemnes :: 25th of April 2010).
To what I learned he shot a 378 pictures and finally kept a 172. Each Chow who participated in the Show was captured in his camera. There were 40 Chow Chows in the Show. The judge was Marianne Baden from Denmark. At the end of the Show, me, Helma and Peter had a little chat with her and we talked about the show in Tulln (AT) in 2006 (CCCA Clubshow) and where Christina Pleinert introduced her 2007 Chow Chow Calendar.
From the side line.. On the right there is Hans who wanted to keep an eye on me...
It is long sit during a show and of course some snacks, drinks and going for a little and big business are a welcome intermezzo. So that was valid for me and Helma too. For me she went outside and always good to have a little scooper to clean to what is left...... But for Helma herself??
Look on the right and see the side line again. On the right in the picture there is Hans. Hans has several dogs including several Chow Chows....so he knows all about dogs...., but not about ME!
Helma had to go to the ladiesroom. "Well, what????? And what about me? Leaving me here alone??"
Hans, very friendly, said he was willing to take my leash and keeping an eye on me.... Helma left the scene........Too bad for all at the Show. Of course such cannot be accepted; "HELMA, COME BACK!" Oh, no.......so I started barking and yelling ...... and yes, Helma came back!!!!! All at the show watched my direction and wondered about the 'noise'. No fight...no fight...., no buzzing! It was only about MY Helma.....
I got an e-mail from the Chow Chow Eoos........
Eoos is a Chow Beauty and owned by Frank and Anita Meulstee (Xin-Feng Chow Chows and Xin-Feng's Blog)
Read what Eoos wrote me:
hi hi Hanna!
Here is Eoos, I saw you in uh... Ennes or something, where all the Chows were!
Xin-Feng's Eoos (picture thanks courtesy of Anita Meulstee)
I absolutely LOVED to see how you educated your Mommy and how well she listened to you!
I tried the same, but it does not work so wel for me...
Today again Daddy left without me and I did tell him so many times I do NOT like it when he leaves!!!!
And then he went walking with my mother and I had to walk with Mommy :-(
I can squeak and cry, our humans say it is terrible to hear, and I use that to tell them I need them to open the door for me... (I don't like closed doors, they should be OPEN!) and when I am awake and Mommy is not awake yet.
That goes well enough, but I really admired the way you kept you Mommy close!!! WOW, can you tell me how you do that???
paws up from
Eoos
Isn't that nice from Eoos? Finally someone who understands in what it is 'all about'. Chow Chows are seen to be stubborn. But are we really? No, no we are dedicated and committted to our owner. So that is unconditional love......;chemistry....... Always together.......in 'out and about'.
The judge (Marianne Baden) with NCCC Clubwinner 2010, BIS, CAC - Xiao-Xing Oelan Oede (left) & BOS Ch Koperrood Special Delivery
Well, the Show Must Go On....and it did really, even after my barking. Marianne Baden, after the show, found me a cute, handsome, little lady. And yes, I am!
See the BIS, NCCC Clubwinner 2010, BIS, CAC - Xiao-Xing Oelan Oede (left) & BOS Ch Koperrood Special Delivery.
And what about me? They gave me BOM.
All these titles......... For those who are not so acquainted with Dog Shows all these abbreviations make dizzy.
Do you see my point?
Of course when you get such a title it means you are a kind of champion or on its way to become one.
I'm a clever Chow. and let me tell you about BIS, BOS and BOM.....what the meaning is:
BIS = Best In Show ; BOS = Best Opposite Sex
And what about being a BOM?
Best Of MOM!
Me and Helma, Helma and me.
Isn't it all about 'love' , the chemistry? Even during a match?
I love the picture below to the best! The Champions of the day....
See yah next time and in the meantime enjoy the pictures in the Image Gallery.
