A Big Girl Now?

Yes, I seem to be a big girl now. At least that is what they are telling me now all the time.

I'm into heat for the very first time in my life!

Isn't it funny? Isn't it sexy?
Hmm, I feel also that hormones are playing with me in my body. What an excitement!
Imagine, only 7 months old and into heat.
I'm feeling lonesome now. No male dogs are allowed to come near me. In house and outside in the garden I'm seperated from my father and Kiang.
In particular 'Big Boy' Kiang is responding being nervous, looking around, and lowing like an wolf. It even sounds sometimes like crying and feeling misunderstand.

Yes, even at this young age you can become pregnant. That is what they have told me.
So, no little dates.....
Walking outside is resally under supervison now.

There is always the discussion about dogs to spay or neuter them. Spaying or neutering would help against unwanted diseases dealing with the genitals. On the other hand, it is said also, there can be 'unwanted' side-effects with respect to body-weight, coat or even incontinence.
What are the benefits? Is it only that twice per year female dogs are in heat and some trouble with respect to cleaning and keeping away male dogs? But when...when there is no intention for off-spring?

Questions....
One important thing which never should be forgotten.
Each surgery and removing healthy body parts -considered not being used or important- isn't good. There will be a change in the hormone ratios and levels and so there is always an impact, even how small it is.
Of course there can be medical reasons to neuter or spay. That is okay.
It is also known that due to overpopulation on pets neutering or spaying is recommended in several parts of the world (like in the USA).
Nevertheless ...be careful...

The process of neutering or spaying is not reversible.

Well, back to me. I will come through with the precautions taken. Everything will come back to normal soon again and having big fun with my (half-) sister, my father and Big Boy (see picture above). See in the image gallery also Xiong and me. We are sharing little secrets.....
