It is December 7, 2009
Only a couple of weeks to go and the year in which I was born is over. The weather isn't fine, so I'm hardly playing outside. Too much rain for the time of the year and in the garden it isn't funny. There is mud and a 'lady' wants to keep her coat clean. It means that we spend much more time being at home in the living: Family life.....
Look at the left. Isn't that a cute picture? Helma and Kiang were hugging and Peter wanted to make a picture of that. Just in time I jumped up-front the camera..... In the Image gallery more pictures can be found from me, Kiang and Helma. Kiang is most of the time my play-mate. In November much happened. Last time I wrote about the "Chow Forest-Walk" and from which Kiang returned completely soaked. November turned up being a very busy and also from Chow point of view an emotional month.
On November 18 the news reached us that 'Red Kaja' passed away. In the picture on the right you can see from left to right 'Kaja', Freed and Frodo. Why is it so extra-ordinary to write about that? Kaja was the sister of 'our' Kaya. Our Kaya passed away at the age of only 4...... Now the 'Red Kaja' reached only 5 years and 8 months. He was put to sleep since nothing could be done to him. His hernia made him suffer too much and no control anymore on some important functions. Red Kaja is missed by Frodo, Mia and Freed Mordang. Of course also missed by us all.
Kaja and Kaya had 8 brothers and sisters and both were Chowdren from Vita-Texla Susie and my father Anhwei Shadow Lan. Can you imagine 10 puppies in all colours and coats? It reached the newspaper on the isle of Texel (NL).
Kaja became a Chow Chow Calendar Celebrity in 2005 with a similar picture as on the left. That picture is so very special. To what I have been told the litter was so exciting and so impressive. Wonderful Chow-hood times were spent on the isle of Texle. Also Xiong and I were born there. That is one of the reasons we love flowers and in particular digging tulip bulbs. At the Vita-Texla kennel one is cultivating tulips.....
The unfortgettable times on Texel. I saw the most beautiful pictures of that special 2004 Susie and Shadow litter and also several video clips. Who can resist a Chow puppy? Who can cope with the loss of his beloved friend? Nobody..., in fact.....
In the image gallery below another picture of Kaja (in that picture the Chow on the right) and Frodo can be found.
Time flies and we are reaching the end of the year 2009. It is the year where I found my new owners and my new family. Yes, I'm pleased with them and I guess they with me.
On the right you can see a recent picture of my father 'Shadow'. This month he will turn 9 already. Yes, he is in the garden and making his daily inspection. He is ruling his pack in a great and distinguished manner. A fine, blue coloured, rough Chow. All at our place treat him with respect.
In the image gallery you can find another picture of Kaja (and Frodo); me and Xiong; Helma, Kiang and me and last but not least my sister Xiong.
Below: Yes....there she is: Vita-Texla Susie. Xiong's mom and also the mom from the late Kaya and Kaja. Here Susie is getting an Excellent on the Winner Show in Amsterdam on November 28, 2009.
Yes, it is me!
I'm Hanna
